SP Welded and PR Pressed Gratings
MIDGRID Open Mesh Steel Flooring initially fall into Two catagories SP Welded Type or PR Pressed Type.
Both types of grating share exactly the same range of
Load Bearing Bars in terms of depths and thickness. The difference between the Two types lies within the type of Transverse Bars, the method in which they are constructed and also the ranges of the mesh patterns. The main differences are highlighted below :
SP Welded Gratings
SP Welded Gratings are constructed by Twisted
Transverse Bars being forged welded into the
Load Bearing Bars.
This type of grating can be made into panels upto 3000 mm in Length x 1000 mm in Width (Greater Lengths and Widths can be achieved if necessary). We can also incorporate Square, Rectangular, Round and Mitred Cut-outs along with, Kick Plates and Deep Binding Bars where required. Fabricated panels are fitted with either a 2.5 mm
Automatic profile banding or a
Flat banding to match the
Load Bearing Bar where specified.
PR Pressed Gratings
PR Pressed Gratings are constructed by Flat 10 x 2 mm
Transverse Bars being pressed into incisions in the
Load Bearing Bars.
This type of grating can be made into panels upto 2000 mm in Length x 1000 mm in Width (again, Greater Lengths and Widths can be achieved if necessary). We can also incorporate Square, Rectangular, Round and Mitred Cut-outs along with, Kick Plates and Deep Binding Bars where required. This type of Grating has a
t-profile banding that is fitted around the panels at the point of construction and therefore does not lend itself to modification at later stages.
